Arcelli travaille généralement in situ. Pour réaliser cette oeuvre, elle est venue collecter des matériaux de déchetterie dans le port commercial de Brest. Elle a choisi d’intituler son oeuvre Fata Morgana, un terme connu des marins qui désigne un mirage créant l’illusion qu’un objet flotte au dessus de l’océan.
